Hopes Appeal Bans
Australian trainers Lee and Shannon Hope, who on Tuesday were banned three and five years, respectively, for charges of administering cobalt to three horses in their care, have appealed that decision, according to Racing.com. In addition to filing an application with the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal to appeal the decision by the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board, the Hopes obtained an interim order from the Tribunal and will be able to continue training until at least Nov. 24, when a hearing of an application for a longer stay of proceedings will be held.
